This Winter, Pile on Those Scarves a La Jennifer Hudson!

Jennifer Hudson was recently spotted arriving at LAX after a flight from Chicago. The singer wasn’t dressed in her usual glam outfits, but she did show a different side to her style by going for a more hip-hop and laid-back kind of look. It also seemed like she left a really cold Chicago because she was all bundled up in not just one, but several layers of scarves while decked in snow boots, a beanie, and a thick jacket.

How do you like Jennifer’s plane-ride style? She certainly went for a very layered look using scarves instead of piling on the outerwear, do you think she put together the right mix?And if we were to ask you how many scarves (you think) she had on, would you be able to tell us?

Our guess is three (3), but we could be wrong of course.

In any case, piling on several layers of scarves isn’t a bad thing — especially during extremely cold weather. You can even do it with flair by choosing the right extras (and colors) to combine. Also, remember to use scarves in different degrees of thickness.

For example, don’t mix two or three equally chunky pieces together. Mix with thinner items to keep yourself from drowning in the scarves. Here are three combinations we cooked up for you in case you’re in the mood to pile it like a pro:
