We’re so used to seeing Fearne Cotton in mish-mashed and colorful outfits that to find her in anything but is actually surprising.

During BBC Radio 1’s Teen Awards held in London the other Sunday, the radio and TV presenter decided to don an all-white attire consisting of a white blouse paired with white trousers, then topped off with a white scarf.

Coupled with her blond hair, you could say the whole look washed her out.

Do you approve of Fearne Cotton’s all-white scarf style, or do you think she could have done better? Do you think you can wear something similar? Would you style your white scarf the same way, or are you the kind of person who prefers to mix up the colors?

Fearne’s outfit is supposed to be 70s-inspired. Maybe if she styled her hair differently or wore makeup reminiscent of that particular era, she’d look much better. Yes?

We don’t have the details on Fearne’s outfit, but if you wish to channel her all-white red carpet style, do yourself a favor by playing with textures and tints to keep the look interesting.

Check out the combos we put together for you. The first look is a clear mix of textures using an acrylic-wool blend scarf from MICHAEL Michael Kors and a boucle sweater from Topshop.

The pairing is more casual in appearance, so simply finish it with off-white cropped trousers and pointy flats to dress up the look:

The second outfit hits close to home, as it can be used to actually copy Fearne’s BBC Teen Awards style.

Get the sheer-sleeved pullover from Izzue, then top it with a studded white scarf from BCBGeneration for a dash of depth and drama.
