Looks like Cara Delevingne had a bit of a headscarf moment last week. The supermodel was caught sporting a brightly printed extra tied around her head while grabbing pizza at Chiltern Firehouse last Wednesday. She used the headband to decorate a casual outfit consisting of a sweater, black leggings, and sneakers.

The next day day, Britain’s “it” girl repeated the combination (same headscarf and sweater) while out and about running errands in London. This time, however, Cara switched her leggings to short denim cutoffs and and black over-the-knee socks. We’re guessing she was probably too lazy to think about what to wear and decided to just grab whatever was lying around in her bedroom.

Do you approve of the way Cara wore her scarf?

We’re not so crazy about the two outfits, but we do like how the silk square managed to bright up her look. It’s a very quirky ensemble, and the pairing is unexpected — not to mention, quite un-glamorous — but surprisingly, she managed to pull it off.

Silk squares printed in bright hues are great pick-me-uppers, most especially when you want to spice up a very basic outfit. To copy Cara’s second look — sorry, we can’t say we love the first one so we’re not going to recommend it — grab a pair of denim cutoffs, a sweater, then wear the mix with over-the-knee socks and sneakers. Once you have the ensemble in order, top it with this colorful square from Nordstrom. Simply wear it like a head band a la Cara:
