We’re used to seeing Alexa Chung in peter pan collars. In fact, the model practically owns the look. But can you imagine her in something catty and fierce like animal print? Because that’s how we found the British stylista earlier today, while she was leaving BBC Breakfast Studios in London.

Alexa was decked in all-black attire and finished the outfit with a wooly leopard-print topper. It was the perfect accent to her rocker chick get-up. She styled the scarf with a frame bag — a rather unusual choice, but the mishmash of punk, ladylike, and glam elements somehow worked for her.

Aren’t you loving that scarf? She wore it with a black tee, a black peacoat, a fur vest, a leather skirt, black tights, and boots.

It looks warm, thick, and cozy, just the kind you’ll need for fall and winter. The doubled sided design (herringbone + leopard print) also makes it a very versatile accessory to have. Sadly we have yet to find out where Alexa scored the piece.

If you’re just as clueless, but would love to grab something as warm, cozy, and unique for the cooler seasons, here’s a ruana from Nordstrom that may just do the trick. It has the same reversible concept, and you can use it as a scarf if and when you feel like it.

On a side note, if you have the budget of a celebrity fashionista, a good option to try would be this reversible wrap from Missoni. It’s textured on one side and striped on the other — a really beautiful option, though sadly, quite pricey at $1,230:
