Scarf Style: Top 10 Blogger Looks of July 2013

To be honest, looking for new bloggers to feature each month is no easy feat. We go through multiple sites, filter through hundreds of bloggers (and scarf looks), and on top of that, we have to have a really good reason for choosing one blogger over the other — whether that reason is style-related or something else.

The “screening” this month took us a bit more time, but we were finally able to trim down our selection to the deserving ten (10), and we’re proud to say we’re happy with our choices. So without beating around the bush, here are our top 10 bloggers for July 2013. Do you currently follow any of these fashionistas?

1. Ting Ting Jones from San Diego, California

We love a good easy-to-follow DIY project so when we came across Ting’s post on how to make your own sweater poncho without sewing, we immediately jumped at the chance to feature her here. You can take a peek at her DIY post by visiting her blog, Cup of Ting.

2. Lauren Price from Washington DC

We love a girl who knows just how versatile a scarf can be. Check out Lauren Price of Fashionably Lo rockin’ our favorite accessory in three ways!

3. An Dyer from Los Angeles

An Dyer of Haute Pink Pretty is first and foremost, a shoe lover. If you check out her shoe closet, you will literally drool. But of course, she isn’t here today because of her shoe collection. Isn’t it obvious? We’re crushing on her crochet caftan! It’s so perfectly perfect for summer, don’t you think?

4. Polly Bland from Illinois

Polly Bland is a multi-tasker who is very artistic and eccentric. In a few words, she is one of a kind. Her unique and playful style may not be for everyone, but we seriously think it’s cute and totally adorable. Check out her look below. The striped yellow scarf was just a teenie-tiny add-on, but it sure brightened up her outfit, yes? Visit Polly’s blog, The Littlest Polly, for more of her quirky style.

5. Emilija V. from Lithuania

Ok, first of all, we are down with Emilija’s vintage scarf; it’s so posh and glam. And did we mention we envy those sunnies too?! Altogether we like the outfit she put together here. It’s polished yet a little off-beat, just the way we like it. Emilija documents her sartorial escapades on her blog, Fashion Whit

6. Josefin Dahlberg from Sweden

We’re digging this boho look from Josefin Dahlberg of CHIC. We like how she unexpectedly mixed tribal print (dress) with a pattern so traditional like Fair Isle (poncho). She looks effortlessly fab and we can’t wait to copy her style.

7. Alexandra from Napoca, Romania

Another case of white t-shirt and jeans, except, this pretty blogger dressed up her look with a scarf around her head instead of wrapping the extra around the neck. Such a simple yet fab get-up, yes? Check out more of Alexandra by visiting her blog, The Fashion Creed.

8. Khin Khin Gyi from Fort Wayne, Indiana

Something we forgot to mention in our how-to post last week, is that you can also use the scarf as a belt. It’s another neat way to jazz up a simple look, just like what Khin Khin of Crazy Wasabii did below. You can even mix up prints to kick it up a notch (i.e. printed scarf + printed dress).

9. Kelli Murray from California

She’s a graphic artist, painter, illustrator, and she pens a namesake blog called Kelli Murray Art and Design. On top of that, she also has an amazing fashion sense.

We love the effortlessness of this look she concocted with a Kirious kimono. It’s simple, but with just the right amount of flair to make it look awesome.

10. Brett Robson from Durban, South Africa

Black and white stripes mixed with polka dots in the same palette sure makes a gorgeous combination, don’t you think? But seasoned blogger, Brett Robson, kicked it up a notch by injecting shots of gold. The result — an uber glam look that is totally fabulous. Visit Brett’s blog, Fashion By Brett Robson, to see more of her copy-worthy outfits.
