This Is How Dita Von Teese Keeps Her Hair in Place When Riding a Convertible

While it’s no longer being commonly applied, one of the ways you can use a scarf is as a head cover with the ends tied under you chin, just like all those glamorous women used to do back in the day.

We don’t see women use their scarves this way anymore, but consider Dita Von Teese an exception to the norm. The Burlesque queen was spotted donning our favorite extra over her head while hopping into a friend’s red convertible last week. As to why she wore her scarf that way, your guess is as good as mine – probably more to keep her hair in place rather than a fashion statement:

Of course, with her signature old Hollywood style, let’s just say she looked like she came straight out of a 60s movie with James Dean in the driver’s seat.

Personally, I think we ladies should take a cue from Dita. If you’re going to ride a top-down sportscar, or if you’re headed outdoors — be it a picnic or a day at the beach where your hair will have a major tug of war with the wind, why not do it some favor by keeping it in place with a scarf?
