Rihanna just redefined how a girl can use the iconic Hermes scarf, or better known to most as the Hermes carrés. The pop diva sported one in the most unique way and shared it to her Instagram followers early this week. Can you guess how Rihanna wore her silky extra?

Yes. Ri-Ri wrapped the piece around her chest and turned it into a bikini top. Genius! Would you agree?
In fact, we can’t wait to copy this new “fashion hack”. Of course, we will have to use a more affordable silk square that won’t cost us an arm and a leg.
It’s hard to figure out which particular Hermes carré the style icon used for her pool session, but what we can tell you is that Hermes scarves cost a good amount of money. The cheapest you can find will set you back about $395. Here’s a quaint-looking number we’re crushing on at the moment:
The Les Confessions carre measures 36 by 36 inches. If you want to be able to manipulate the scarf further — maybe add a knot or two on the center — you can go with a bigger square, like the diagonal plaid scarf from Marc by Marc Jacobs below.
