Olivia Palermo just proved to everyone — yet again — that she is indeed ahead of the fashion game.

The iconic socialite wore some of fall’s favorite pieces while in New York City early this week. We’re talking about the cozy blanket wrap and the uber-sexy over-the-knee boots. Also, make sure to check out these trendy celebrities wearing comfortable-looking ponchos.

Olivia wore the two with a mixed-pattern ensemble consisting of a button-up shirt and tailored shorts, both of which were painted in earthy hues.

The whole mix was flawless, and we simply could not help but admire the pairing.

It’s a great look to wear for in-between seasons, like when you’re transitioning to fall but can still afford to wear shorts. What’s great about the ensemble is that it’s simple but looks really fantastic.

All you need are a pair of textured brown shorts, a green checkered shirt, and of course, some over-the-knee boots, and you’re pretty much set to look like the ultimate style star.

Olivia’s wrap is from Burberry Prorsum’s Fall 2014 collection. It was seen on Cara Delevingne on and off the runway back in February.

The piece is reversible and crafted from wool and cashmere. Burberry also took things a little further with this topper because you can actually have it personalized with your initials.

The price for one is $1,395. Yes, that’s a hefty amount. But then again, it’s a beautiful wrap.

That said, if you’re not too keen on spending $1395 on a poncho, you can try the less expensive Burberry Wool Ruana or the even more affordable BP Poncho at Nordstrom:

To copy Olivia’s style from head to toe, grab a pair of tailored shorts and a patterned button-up shirt, then cap off the combo with suede thigh-high boots.

Olivia’s boots are from her capsule shoe collection with Aquazzura. If you want a cheaper alternative, go with the Sam Edelman Kayla boots instead.
