There’s nothing like a fool-proof and fail-safe outfit that you can easily just throw on when you’re feeling too lazy to think of what to wear. But other than the usual all-black garb, cooking up a chic get-up usually takes effort.
One great way to beat the style rut, if you think you’re in one, is to look for inspirations or ideas. You can check out bloggers on Chictopia and LookBook; or better yet, scroll through pictures of celebrities who are known for their impeccable fashion sense. Gwen Stefani, Jessica Alba, Diane Kruger, and Olivia Palermo are just some of those famous names.
Of course, there are other celebrities you can get outfit ideas from. Take for example, our muse for today, who also happens to be a retired supermodel — Cindy Crawford. The leggy brunette may be pushing 50 — she’s 48 years old — but like her peers, Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, and Christy Turlington, she can very well give her modern-day counterparts (read: Victoria Secret angels) a run for their money. The woman can dress just as well too.
While arriving at LAX early this month, Cindy was effortlessly fabulous in a spring-appropriate attire that included blue-infused pieces — a blue-printed scarf layered over a light blue chambray shirt. She wore the two with white skinny jeans, some comfy flat sandals, a Cartier tote, and uber-cool sunnies. It was a no-fuss mix, yet she looked wonderful.

Don’t you love her blue-themed outfit? It looks cool and very easy to put together. You literally don’t need to be a style genius to cook it up, let alone, pull it off. Did we mention it’s perfectly perfect for the spring weather too?
So how about we take a cue from Cindy Crawford today?
To do so, simply grab your white skinny jeans and light blue denim or chambray shirt. If you don’t have one, we’re including several options below for you to consider:
Top the combo with a printed blue scarf in the same hue as your shirt. Here are a few neck warmers you can consider. Most of these are pocket friendly so grabbing one won’t make a huge dent on your wallet:
Finally, cap off your look with the essential extras such as flat white sandals, a tote, and a pair of chic eyewear. Here’s a mix we put together for you. You can find everything we’re featuring here at Nordstrom. If you wish to kick the coolness level a few notches up, simply add a fedora hat and you’re all set!
