Don’t you just love Jordin Sparks?
We’re huge fans of the girl. Not only does she have an amazing voice, but she’s such a cutie as well. She’s no longer the sixteen-year-old Hollywood neophyte we used to know, of course. That much we have noted after seeing the young singer in a white-hot outfit at the Red, White, and Black Super Bowl Party in New York earlier this week. Her look that day was sophisticated, sexy, and all grown-up.

Yesterday, Jordin was spotted at The Friars Club Roast event held at the Waldorf Astoria. For the occasion, she slipped into an all-black attire consisting of skinny jeans, a turtleneck sweater, and knee boots. It was a very classic outfit. She then tried to keep it a little more interesting by wrapping a checkered scarf around her neck. It was a Burberry creation with the label’s signature colors.

What do you think of Jordan’s latest scarf style? Do you find the mix boring? Should she have worn a different scarf, like a brighter piece with a more catchy print?
Burberry’s iconic check scarf comes in several renditions and materials, from silk to cashmere, and wool to wool/silk/cashmere blends. It’s hard to tell which type (of scarf) Jordin has on in the pictures, but here’s a short list of Burberry scarves that are similar to it:
If you enjoy wearing black and would love to find out another way to style an all-black outfit, try scarves with catchy prints and bold colors:
If you favor solids (over prints), scarves in poppy hues like yellow, fuchsia, or aqua will do the trick as well. Set against black, they make perfect statement accessories:
And last but not least, if all else fails, simply top your black attire with a white scarf and voila! You’re done!
