How do you keep yourself fabulous when you’re pregnant?

Aside from a growing belly, you also gain weight, and therefore, have to constantly change your wardrobe. It’s a good thing there’s maternity wear you can rely on from week 1 to 40. But here’s a tip that’s easy-to-do and will make you look fab in a snap while you’re pregnant and even after you pop — wear a kimono. That’s a cue from celebrity style star and fashion mogul, Gwen Stefani. The rocker mom, who is currently expecting her third child, was spotted looking effortlessly chic while out and about with her family late last month.

For the activity, Gwen wore an all black outfit and topped it off with a colorful kimono. The extra layer not only brightened up her look, but it disguised her bump too. Coupled with painted nails, red lips, and fancy eyewear, you could say Gwen’s outfit was one for the books. She also rocked her favorite “Nichol” boots from L.A.M.B.

Does Gwen’s kimono look familiar to you? It looks really pretty, doesn’t it?

The piece is actually from Zara. We have yet to confirm if it’s made of silk, but it sure looks like it. It features contrasting green panels at the sleeves, open front, and center back. It’s great for layering, and can be worn across seasons. Below is a closer look at the kimono for you.

Blogger and writer, Kelly Purkey, was also spotted sporting this number on her site in February of last year. She wore it with a sequined skirt and black booties. The mix was a bit unexpected but she pulled it off nicely.

That said, we couldn’t find this kimono online any longer so you’re better off searching for an alternative. One of our favorite stores, Nasty Gal, has a great collection of can-afford kimonos you can choose from. Here’s one that will only set you back an easy $68. It’s made of polyester-viscose blend chiffon fabric that features geometric tribal and snake print all over. Will you grab it?
