Here’s a Fresh Take on the Black Scarf — Straight from Daisy Fuentes

Remember how we talked about styling a classic black scarf with something other than black?

Well, here’s Daisy Fuentes doing exactly that. We spotted the model sporting this very interesting look while arriving at LAX over the weekend. She mixed her whispy black extra with a faded blue tie-dyed chambray shirt, then punctuated the outfit with grey suede boots. We can’t say we love the shoes she wore (she could have done better), but the top half of her getup was certainly a refreshing sight to see.

What can you say about the mix?

Not bad, right. The tie-dye effect looked gorgeous with the black scarf. If only she wore black boots to go with, she would have nailed the outfit perfectly.

That said, the  combination is definitely lookbook-worthy. We don’t know where Daisy scored her one-of-a-kind top, but here’s something from Eskandar that is very similar. Pair it with a whispy black scarf, black skinnies or tights, and of course, don’t forget your black boots to steal her style.

Assuming you already have black boots and a black scarf in your closet, then all you will really need to figure out is how to obtain the shirt. The Eskandar top is unbelievably expensive (sorry, we couldn’t find a cheaper alternative) so for those of you on a budget, you may want to consider doing some DIY using a faded blue denim or chambray shirt. The question is if you’re up for the project.  So are you?
