Looks like Fergie is quite fond of the scarf belt.
Back when she was pregnant, we spotted the Black Eyed Peas singer wear a printed scarf as a hip-cincher in an effort to disguise her baby bump. A good few months after giving birth and it looks like Fergie still can’t get enough of her scarf, er, belt, er, sash.
She was spotted Christmas shopping at James Pearce in Beverly Hills yesterday. For the holiday errand, the stylish mom stepped out in full fashion by wearing a fringed scarf belt with her leather skinnies and checkered shirt. She let the ends of the belt hang like ribbon sashes. There were also strands of leather hanging with the “belt” and they were (honestly) a little distracting.
On top of the accoutrements, Fergie also wore a pair of animal print ankle-strap pumps. Check out her look below and tell us what you think:
Fergie keeps her casual outfit interesting by tying a fringed scarf around her waist (or hips?) and wearing a pair of animal-print pumps while shopping at James Pearce in Beverly Hills, December 17, 2013
Well, any thoughts? What do you think of the mix she put together, hit or miss?
Yes, we agree. She looks pretty unusual. But you know what? We like it! She looks different; that’s for sure. But the outfit is very original and she carried it with flair. Do you think you can wear the same combo and rock it with flair?
To get the same look, you’ll need a lightweight patterned scarf trimmed with fringes. Eyelash trimming will do if that’s what you prefer, but remember that it will look less dramatic. Here are a few scarf ideas for you. These choices range between $38 to $177 and are all either made of wool-cashmere or viscose-rayon:

And as for the leathery fringes hanging along with Fergie’s belt, well, let’s just say those can be had with a little bit of D.I.Y.. Just grab some black jersey fabric and cut them into thin strips. Once’s you’re done cutting, wrap them together with the belt and voila! You’re done!
Easy peasy, right?Credit: WENN
