Ever wonder how Londoners wear their scarves? Well, here’s a peek. Check out these street style snaps straight from London Fashion Week. These were taken outside the Somerset House last week, where the shows took place. We don’t have their names – they could be writers, bloggers, editors, buyers, or simply patrons of fashion. But one thing we do know is we love how they wore our favorite extra.
Patterned scarves were worn the traditional and the not-so-traditional way on the streets of London last week. For instance, we’re enjoying the play of color and texture on this oh-so-fashionable dude. It’s a combination that’s hard to pull off, but he certainly managed to wear it with flair.
Picture no. 2 shows us a lady dressing up her classic black coat with a pink patterned extra – a really nice touch and a very easy look to wear. We’re confident you can pull off something similar in no time so why not grab it with the pink plaid scarf below?
Infinity scarf sightings were also abundant at London Fashion Week. Here we have two ladies sporting the chunky circle wrap in two ways – with color and in color. This much we can say for both – we’re loving the color clash. Black-on-green and blue-on-white has never looked so good. Grab any of their looks with a colored infinity scarf from Nordstrom:

Textured and Trimmed Scarves
Unique, chunky, textured, and trimmed scarves were also among the sightings outside the Somerset House. And yes, we had to take a long look at what the lady in picture no. 1 was wearing before we could finally figure it out. It’s a fur trimmed two-fer sweater dress worn with what looks like a marled knit scarf.
We also love how the lady in picture no. 2 kept her all black outfit interesting with a chunky fringe trimmed (and tiered) scarf and shots of neon. Which of these adventurous looks would you wear? If it’s no. 2, try the lamb fur scarf from Toria Rose below.
Fur scarf sightings were also abundant last week. The lady in picture no. 1 styled it oh-so nicely with a red hat and layered it with another scarf – a printed one in silk – to add more drama.
For picture no. 2, we love the guy’s androgynous look. And we also love how he tucked the wine colored fur extra underneath his sleek jacket to create the appearance of a fur lapel. Genius, right?! You can get his look by grabbing the Topshop Faux Fur Collar from Nordstrom:
